Tang continues to play a vital role both defining and building the networks’ strategic initiatives. As a leader within the content business, she is the analytical mind among her creative peers, acting as a mentor for many who also aspire to be financial leaders within the industry. This enthusiastic Smith College alumna also encourages new graduates to pursue finance positions and says she defines success as “building a career where you are learning, being challenged and at the same time respecting and liking the people you work with.”

Best business advice you’ve received?

Something I try to keep in mind is the improve rule of “Yes, And.” Rather than immediately going to a negative response, it is helpful to keep an open mind and build onto an idea or suggestion.  I find this leads to improved communication and more creative solutions.

What’s been the biggest story in cable this year? 

Viewers’ insatiable love of zombies.

How do you define success?
