Mr. Paul Gagnon is a Senior Manager of Analysis & Research within the IHS Technology group.
Mr. Gagnon joined IHS in November 2014, when IHS acquired DisplaySearch, a leader in primary research and forecasting on the global display market. At DisplaySearch, he served as the director of global TV research as well as senior analyst for North America. In those capacities, he chaired the annual DisplaySearch US FPD conference. He has more than 20 years of experience in the consumer electronics industry, with expertise in TV market tracking, forecasting, and analysis, as well as consulting and conferences. Mr. Gagnon has been cited as an industry expert in numerous publications, such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and Los Angeles Times.
Prior to DisplaySearch, Mr. Gagnon worked as a senior marketing analyst forecasting and analyzing volatile TV and video market trends for Hitachi America, LTD’s Home Electronics Division. There, he gained extensive product development and strategic planning experience. He was responsible for developing and implementing retail sales incentive promotions at Hitachi. He was also a member of the video division market research committee of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). Mr. Gagnon has a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration from San Diego State University in San Diego, California.
