Brightcove is integrating Alticast’s Windmill ecosystem into its Video Cloud online video platform, thus giving operators the ability to “add advanced interactivity to their existing systems while providing new revenue models and future-friendly expandability.”

Based on a set of modular technologies, Alticast says Windmill enables operators to bring their content to any device in the home easily and cost-effectively, and it supports cable, satellite, DTT, hybrid and IPTV. Viewers reportedly can access digital content from anywhere, anytime and on any device.

"At Brightcove, we are focused on making it easy for our customers to reach their audiences on any screen or device," comments Chris Johnston, director/Technology Partnerships at Brightcove. "We are excited to partner with Alticast to introduce even more ways for our customers to expand the reach of their digital media initiatives."
