VideoPropulsion announced an agreement earlier this month with Mega Hertz to represent VideoPropulsion products in the cable television and IPTV markets.

The initial focus is on the VideoPropulsion FloodGate line, targeted at hospitality HDTV.

“Mega Hertz is uniquely positioned to support and develop market opportunities for our FloodGate product line,” Craig Snelgrove, VideoPropulsion VP of Sales, said in a statement. “We also intend to introduce new products that capitalize on our core technology strengths in stream management, transcoding, encryption, and decryption.”

The partnership with VideoPropulsion includes its implementations of Pro:Idiom and Verimatrix products and services.

“FloodGate’s competitive advantage comes from an engineering commitment to providing the lowest cost per stream solution,” Guy Levassar, Mega Hertz director of business development, said in a statement.
