ARRIS announced that Korean telecommunications company SK Broadband has deployed the ARRIS DOCSIS 3.0 C4 solution, bonding four upstream channels to deliver data speeds in excess of 100 Mbps to its HFC customers.

ARRIS said that this would be the first regional high-speed data deployment where four upstream channels are bonded.

The ARRIS DOCSIS 3.0 CMTS solution consists of the C4 CMTS and WBM760 wideband modems, capable of delivering downstream data speeds up to 200 Mbps, along with carrier-grade voice service. The technology is based on the DOCSIS 3.0 standard that supports both upstream and downstream channel bonding capabilities.
