RCS-e Mobile Solution Scales From Start-Up To Enterprise
The GENBAND Rich Communications Suite-enhanced (RCS-e) solution powered by the A2 Communications Application Server and S3 Session Border Controller (SBC) was unveiled earlier today in Madrid.
The solution includes end-user applications and multi-platform mobile clients in addition to edge security and quality monitoring with integrated system and client management. The RCS-e solution can be tailored for entry-level pre-IMS deployments all the way to full-scale Long Term Evolution (LTE) network deployments. ?
The GENBAND A2 Communications Application Server provides carriers with the platform and capabilities to deploy revenue-generating communications apps that help offset competitive threats from over-the-top (OTT) content providers, the company says. Services include blended address book with social networking communities, mobile video chat across devices, Instant Messaging, federated presence, video/image sharing and a single mobile application that can be customized by the operator.
The GENBAND S3 SBC provides mobile carriers and IP eXchange (IPX) providers with a solution for deploying RCS-e services over IP networks. In addition to providing support for MSRP, and capability exchange between RCS-e devices, the S3 reduces the time to deploy RCS-e services by giving service providers the ability to manage and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). They also can remotely troubleshoot any issues during the deployment. ?
