QVC Italy and QVC in the UK are using Elemental Live from Elemental Technologies to expedite video delivery of live broadcasts to online platforms.

The Elemental Live video processing system provides content producers and distributors with video and audio encoding for adaptive streaming to new media platforms. Elemental Live empowers QVC broadcast operators to instantly create individual product clips from live broadcasts for Web delivery.

“QVC UK launched a new iPhone app early in 2011. Customer appetite for the app exceeded all expectations and the next phase of development will deliver live streaming to the app,” said Edward Hailstone of QVC UK, in a statement.

Elemental will exhibit its solutions for multiscreen video delivery at IBC, Sept. 9-13, at the RAI Conference Center in Amsterdam.
