Norway’s Vimond Media Solutions  is working with Akamai to bundle Akamai’s media-distribution services with its own online video platform. The partnership means Vimond can offer operators and other service providers a single source for designing, deploying, and supporting over-the-top (OTT) services.

"Because of our deep competence and experience launching high-quality OTT services, many of our customers often ask us for assistance in selecting and commissioning their video distribution infrastructure," said Helge Høibraaten, CEO of Vimond. "This partnership is a natural extension of what is already a good collaboration with Akamai.”

As part of this deal, Vimond becomes a member of Akamai’s NetAlliance Partner Program tha recognizes companies whose products or services focus on assisting customers in managing the delivery of information and applications over the Internet.  As such, the Akamai-Vimond NetAlliance Partnership “will benefit customers by defragmenting the often complex ecosystem of solutions needed to deploy OTT services," Vimond says.
