Lantiq and SoftAtHome are collaborating at the Broadband World Forum this week to demonstrate multiscreen media and application services delivered through a broadband media gateway. By porting the gBox solution based on the latest SOP5 (SoftAtHome Operating Platform) product to the Lantiq XWAY xRX300 generation of home gateway System-on-Chip (SOC) platforms, the two companies enable converged services for the Digital Home using any broadband access technology and different in-home networking interfaces. Available in both public and private formats based on security needs, the service includes managed and monitored security features, backup services and 24/7 infrastructure monitoring and support…Cariden Technologies added new products and services to its MATE business-related portfolio. MATE Collector’s new Flow Interface collects and analyzes NetFlow, S-Flow and J-Flow data to determine the cost of traffic flows and to monitor their use of network resources. This includes being able to analyze peering traffic compliance to agreements and calculate bit-mile costs for that and other services. The new functionality also provides the most accurate way of collecting a traffic matrix for capacity planning. Other features allow for intuitive modeling of the impact to the network when peering connections change due to outages. The new version is Release 5.3, and all products are available now.
