Mobile-business solutions provider Antenna Software Inc. released a set of enhancements for its cloud-based AMPchroma enterprise mobility suite that will allow corporate app developers to build mobile apps using HTML5, Javascript and CSS skill-sets “without having to overcome the typical limitations of browser-based development or recode them for different hardware or software platforms,” the company says. AMPchroma users will be able to add offline synchronization capabilities like guaranteed transaction delivery and auditing to their apps by selecting those capabilities from a library of pre-built application components. App developers also will be able to share code on a more informal and collaborative basis via the AMP Builder interface…Video contribution-and-distribution solution provider T-VIPS today launched Connect5, a product that lets network operators monitor and control multiple video-network infrastructures. Demonstrated this week at the IBC show, Connect5 will ship in 4Q12. Features include connection management with easy set-up and tear-down; monitoring and supervision of transport streams, video content, connections and equipment; equipment inventory management; and server-side redundancy for security and cost-effective operation…The Niagara 2200 portable streaming media encoder and the Niagara 9100-2D high-density multiple encoder platform now are available from ViewCast Corporation. Both feature the new Niagara SCX version 7.0 encoding, control and management software that includes a new output container format and MPEG2 Transport Stream that supports both MPEG-2 and H.264 encoding. The Niagara 2200 will replace the Niagara 2100 and 2120 but customers can upgrade existing Niagara 2100 and 2120 systems for “a nominal fee,” the company says.
