A new Subscriber Information Service (SIS) product from BlackArrow lets pay-TV operators work with advertisers “to optimize campaigns by delivering only the most relevant messages to each audience segment. Operators also can utilize the BlackArrow SIS to ensure that marketing campaigns – including special pricing and other incentives — are delivered only to those subscribers who are eligible for the promotion,” the company says. The BlackArrow SIS enables targeting based on such viewer-, household- or device-related data as geography, demographics, marketing segmentation, membership or service level. Data stored in the BlackArrow SIS helps provide detailed reporting on audience performance and inventory supply. Its interfaces, including support for the SCTE 130-6 standard, allow the system to be used for linear, on-demand and interactive advertising. BlackArrow will be demonstrating the SIS at the CableLabs Summer Conference next week…Sandvine’s Peak Period Analysis Dashboard provides statistics and predictions using actual network data captured within the periods of peak bandwidth usage to enable more accurate capacity planning, going “beyond traditional measurements of prime time bytes and projects the applications, service tiers and geographic locations impacting peak bandwidth usage today," it notes.
