The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) formally adopted SCTE 184 and SCTE 186, the first two standards for energy management in the cable industry. SCTE 184 establishes recommended practices for energy management, while SCTE 186 defines common environmental and sustainability requirements for equipment within those facilities. The cloud-based service is a SIP capture solution capable of storing “massive amounts” of SIP signaling data, which then allows for retrieval of actual call information long after an event occurred, the company claims.
