German satellite operator WORK Microwave added several advanced features to its line of high-speed DVB-S2 modems. Using the company’s new filter technology, users reportedly could experience as much as 15-percent bandwidth gain on top of the DVB-S2 standard, while operators can constrain the bandwidth of modulated spectrum to achieve a roll-off of 5 percent or more, depending on the tightness of the filter.
