Great Lakes Data System’s (GLDS’s) WinCable subscriber management and billing system has been integrated with Clearleap’s Stream On Demand Solution, a cloud-based IP content management and delivery system that enables service providers to create a fully operator-branded subscriber experience such as those offered by Netflix, Amazon and Hulu by streaming content directly to connected set-tops, devices and TVs.

Operators can use Clearleap’s Stream On Demand Solution to stream unlimited hours and titles over existing broadband networks. With the Clearleap and GLDS integrated solution, operators now have a fully hosted, end-to-end advanced TV offering, addressing content management and delivery to billing and subscriber management.

Orbitel Communications, serving more than 9,500 residential and business cable TV and HSD access subscribers in Maricopa, Ariz., launched the Clearleap/GLDS solution in October.

“By leveraging the joint solution from GLDS and Clearleap, we were able to quickly deploy our own Orbitel Stream-branded on demand solution and offer unlimited hours and titles of on-demand content over our existing network to branded applications on the Roku box,” said Orbitel President and CEO Keith Kirkman, in a statement.
