The five nominees for possible induction into the 2012 CTAM Hall of Fame include Mad Men Marketing (AMC), The Slowskys (Comcast), High School Musical Marketing (Disney Channel), Marketing of Monday Night Football (ESPN) and Characters Welcome Brand (USA). Some 25 marketing leaders will vote on the inductee, which will be announced during The CTAM Summit, Oct. 14-16…The call is on for software developers to bring the next big idea in personal video applications to the first Unleash Video Codefest, Sept. 29-30, in Cambridge, Mass. Presented by SeaChange International Inc., the codefest encourages competing teams to fast-track their app concepts for tablet, smartphone, TV and other devices through an environment of intensive collaboration and professional guidance into working prototypes. A panel of judges plus codefest peers will determine the winning teams in three categories: undergraduate, graduate and professional…ATIS soon will begin testing full-scale interconnection and interoperability of telepresence solutions. Scheduled for completion in early fall, the testing’s initial phase aims to demonstrate the technical viability of multiple telepresence endpoint types across networks, with the goal of prompting industry adoption of a solution that enables multi-provider, multi-vendor interconnection and interoperability. Test participants include AT&T, Verizon, Cisco, Huawei and Microsoft Lync. Subsequent phases will introduce enhanced telepresence features, including video scaling; screen layout and presentation of 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-screen systems; and multi-point telepresence bridges.
