Ohio-based telecom services company Agile Networks chose Cambium Networks’ suite of wireless solutions for the statewide buildout of The Agile Network in its home state. The Agile Network will cover more than 3 million address points across the state, including over 100,000 homes that don’t have access to broadband. Special emphasis is being put on counties in need and on such local government entities as hospitals, county courthouses, police stations and other local government buildings that require an enhanced data infrastructure to provide public safety and a wide range of additional government services. Agile will deploy Cambium’s PMP 320 and PMP 450 products as well as the PTP 800i All-Indoor solution for last-mile access and backhaul infrastructure…Aurora Networks inked a deal with Videotron for its next phase of network upgrades to Fiber Deep. Videotron says it will utilize Aurora Networks’ full-spectrum Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology. Videotron initially implemented a Fiber Deep architecture using Aurora’s broadcast/narrowcast overlay technology in 2008…The Walton County School District, based in Monroe, Ga., has deployed Visionary Solutions‘ AVN200 and AVN210 encoders as part of a new IP-centric streaming-media solution that delivers high-quality SD video and audio signals to more than 15 schools district-wide. The district now can cost-effectively stream live, video-on-demand, and multicast video feeds simultaneously to an unlimited number of classrooms, optimizing the teaching and learning experience for teachers and students within the district.
