Wireless infrastructure equipment manufacturer Dialogic will use processing solutions from Freescale Semiconductor to power a range of session bandwidth optimization products that boost data throughput and reduce power requirements for wireless operators. Freescale is a key provider of processing technology for Dialogic’s I-Gate 4000 line of Session Bandwidth Optimizers (SBOs)…The city of Cleburne, Texas, installed a private wireless network for public-safety connectivity, using Alvarion’s BreezeMAX Extreme base stations in the 4.9 GHz band connected to BreezeMAX Vehicular Subscriber Units installed in the city’s police vehicles. Crystal Communications installed and integrated the network infrastructure within five working days, and it was funded through grants from Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS)…SmarTone made Ericsson its sole supplier in Hong Kong, tasked with preparing its end-to-end IP network for LTE. Ericsson will supply its multistandard radio access network underpinned by RBS 6000 base stations, and Evolved Packet Core (EPC) using SSR 8000 Smart Services Routers as an Evolved Packet Gateway (EPG). The scope of the plan also includes network rollout, integration and support, deployment services, refarming of the 1800 MHz band and network management with Ericsson’s Operation Support System for Radio & Core (OSS-RC).
