Zayo Group wrapped its $117 million acquisition of FiberGate Inc., a Washington, D.C.-area provider of dark-fiber services, adding 399 new route miles and 130,000 fiber miles in Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, Baltimore and suburban Maryland to Zayo’s network. The new owner says it will continue to offer dark fiber while expanding the service portfolio to include lit bandwidth-infrastructure services like wavelengths, Ethernet, IP and SONET…Integrated Device Technology Inc. joined the Alliance for Wireless Power (A4WP), an independently operated organization composed of global wireless power and technology industry leaders focusing on a new wireless power transfer technology that provides spatial freedom for charging electrical devices in cars, on table tops and multiple devices simultaneously.
