Camiant announced it has received the highest marks in seven of eight categories in an independent survey of policy decision-makers undertaken by Infonetics Research.

Service providers familiar with Camiant rated it 30 percent to 40 percent higher than the nearest policy server vendor on technology leadership, product roadmap, management and price-to-performance ratio, the company said.

When asked to name the top three vendors, respondents named Camiant 2.5 times more often than the nearest competitor.

Infonetics drew data for its report, titled Policy Server Vendor Ratings: Global Service Provider Survey, from interviews with 15 service providers from EMEA, North America and Asia Pacific that have already implemented policy servers or will deploy policy servers in 2010. Respondents included wireless operators, fixed line incumbent operators and cable operators.

Other categories where Camiant demonstrated strengths included security, pricing, service and support and financial stability.
