Blueslice Networks and Camiant announced interoperability of Camiant’s policy & charging rules function (PCRF) with Blueslice’s subscriber data management solutions.

The companies will showcase the integration at this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The continued growth of mobile data fuelled by the availability of faster access networks and the increasing number of innovative mobile applications underscores service providers’ needs for an evolved, centralized architecture of subscriber intelligence and resources control.

With a strong complementary solution portfolio, the Camiant and Blueslice integration optimizes network resources and end-user experience.

Camiant and Blueslice share a unified philosophy that the “subscriber and resource control intelligence” layer should be centralized to avoid the creation of new silos in the network, and vendor neutral to allow operators an independent mechanism to control network growth.

As part of this partnership, Camiant and Blueslice will integrate and test the Camiant PCRF with the Blueslice subscription profile repository (SPR) and home subscriber server (HSS); bring to market an LTE-ready PCRF+HSS solution; contribute to the next-generation SPR standards; and create a customized solution that meets service provider unique needs.
