Our Take

Marketers, take note: We reported in Cablefax Daily yesterday that the rebranded TVGN, which will launch January 14 as “POP,” will become the first net to develop and launch its primary digital voice with its web destination on Tumblr. Indeed, it’s a fast-growing social platform–and according the Global Web Index, says this article from Tech Crunch, Tumblr’s active user base has grown by 120% in the last six months. Facebook’s grew by only 2%, though it’s still the most widely used. Pinterest takes the lead in overall member growth, above Facebook’s 6% growth in member base.

Research out today from the Global Web Index notes that Tumblr’s active user base in the last six months grew by 120%, while Facebook’s grew by only 2%.
