Our Take:

Online video service Pluto TV has scored a distribution deal with Hulu to stream its free TV and movies, Variety reports. What’s interesting about the startup, which also cut deals to stream content from Shout! Factory, Jukin Media, Devin SuperTramp, Multicom, Around the World in 4K and Amazing Places on Our Planet and others, is its TV-like interface. The service will curate content into channels like Late-Night Catch-Up and ’90s TV Shows, and is even set up like a TV grid. With the use of Hulu content, the platform is expanding its library beyond popular YouTube and digital content and into traditional TV shows from broadcasters.

Hulu reached a distribution deal with Pluto TV, a startup whose service repackages online video into a TV-like programming grid, covering all of Hulu’s free television and movies content. Under the pact, Pluto TV has access to everything Hulu makes available on its free, ad-supported website.
