Live events, such as sports tournaments and music festivals, continue to be important for the pay TV ecosystem, as they provide appointment viewing in an increasingly multiplatform world. Such is the case with this announcement, reported by Deadline, that after two years on NBC the iHeartRadio Music Awards are headed to Turner. They will be simulcast across TBS, TNT and truTV as well as their digital platforms.
