NBA, ‘Love and Hip Hop,’ and ‘Gold Rush’ Led 18-49s Ratings
Sports programming won first place in the 18-49 demo for the week of 1/18-1/24, according to Nielsen, but there were no college football playoffs generating more than 10 million Live+SD viewers for the group. This past week TNT’s NBA game featuring Golden State vs. Cleveland won the top spot with 1.88 million average Live+SD viewers.
VH1’s “Love and Hip Hop” and Discovery Channel’s “Gold Rush” filled the next two spots, with 1.87 million viewers and 1.796 million, respectively. Both are frequently in the ratings top 10. Lifetime’s original movie “Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart” scored the fourth spot, 1.686 million average viewers. From then on, USA’s “WWE Raw” found its way into the 5th, 7th and 9th slots, with the 8pm airing on Monday getting 1.661 million average viewers.
Breaking up the wrestling viewership are Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta” on Sunday night (1.581 million) and both Saturday and Wednesday’s episodes of TBS’s “The Big Bang Theory.” Check out the full chart below. (Source: Nielsen)
