Months of speculation finally ended with FCC chmn Julius Genachowski making his resignation official Fri. No official departure date yet, with the chmn simply saying he’ll step down “in coming weeks.” With Republican commish Robert McDowell pledging to leave in “a few weeks,” the agency could have a 2-1 Democratic majority for a period of time.
