Disney has reached a multiplatform distribution deal with Charter Communications allowing subscribers to use the programmer’s authenticated Watch products including WatchESPN services, WatchDisney offerings and the upcoming ABC News/Univision 24-hour news network.

Included in the agreement is the launch of The Longhorn Network in Texas, Louisiana and Virginia before the football season commences next year. The deal encompasses a total of 70 services, including a suite of On Demand products for ABC, ABC Family, Disney-branded offerings and content from ESPN Films. Parties also agreed on retrans consent for 7 stations and rights for 10 HD networks.

This marks the 6th major MSO distribution renewal deal for the programmer for its full suite of products. The multi-year agreement will take effect in the first half of 2013.
