Telcos and cable ops are both making pitches as to why their particular suite of services is the best for home automation and security. With smart homes seen as a lucrative market, everyone is looking at rapid expansion. It is not just telcos and cable ops looking to get a foot into the door of homes. One satellite company has already expanded its in-home services across the country and is testing additional services like home and office automation.
