Bot Alert—ISPs Report Very Little Gloom on Internet Doomsday
Cable operators were ready when Internet Doomsday dawned Mon. ISPs spent months preparing for the FBI’s July 9 disconnect of Internet servers that kept malware infected computers up and running for 8 months. Time Warner Cable set up its own DNS servers to keep infected customers online. It currently is in the process of reaching out to those it believes are infected to help them remedy the problem.
