When the summer started, it was cable making all the consolidation news with an abundance of rumors. But it has been the broadcasters actually making acquisitions. The latest came Mon, with Nexstar announcing a deal to acquire Citadel’s stations in Des Moines, Sioux City and Rock Island, IL, for $88mln.
