Winner

Michael Kay – YES Network
As a YES Network play-by-play guy, Michael Kay isn’t afraid to speak honestly about the Yankees’ triumphs or failings. And for a guy who has covered the Yankees for decades, Kay revels in big plays, even when they benefit the opposition. Perhaps that’s really the sign of a true sports fan: someone whose enthusiasm for the game affects every viewer and knows no biases. This Bronx, NY, native has paid his dues, starting out as a Yankees reporter for MSG Network in 1989 and honing
his skills ever since. He continues to get better with every broadcast, and we’ll be watching.
