The big stock share price winner last week was Arris, according to Cablefax’s week in review of media and telecom stocks for the week of July 4. It closed at $24.21 a share, up 13.82%. Arris announced last week that it entered into a warrant agreement with Comcast Cable, which gives Comcast the opportunity to purchase up to 8 million shares of Arris based on specific sales targets for 2016 and 2017. Another winner was Viacom, which rose after Liberty Media chairman’s John Malone said at Allen & Co. Sun Valley Conference that the company’s assets are “substantially undervalued” It climbed 7.72% percent over the week, finishing at $49.93 a share. On the loser side was Lionsgate, down 3.78% to $19.10 per share, Grupo Televisa, down 2.72% to $25.72 a share, and Harmonic, which closed at $2.93 a share, a decrease of 2.66%.
