ACA Summit—Lawmakers Recognize Updates Needed, But It’ll Take Time

Policymakers invited to ACA Summit Wed acknowledged to small- and mid-size operators that the FCC and Congress need to step up their game in terms of reforming the 1996 Telecom Act and several regulatory issues at the Commission. But they offered little comfort that action will come any time soon. Sen Dean Heller (R-NV) tells ACAers what they might expect from Congress and Republican FCC commish Ajit Pai addresses the commission’s authority and how it plans to include the ACA in policy decision making.
