This program, which honors budding young cable leaders from all walks of business, is open to professionals age 30 and under. Enter your favorite young cable professionals for consideration in Cablefax’s new Over-Under List: Overachievers Under 30.
We’re casting a wide net in our search for the best junior execs, so nominations are open to those in any aspect of the business including distribution, advertising, sales, marketing, PR, technology, finance, legal, HR, regulatory, production and more. You can nominate yourself or your colleagues.
Basically, we’re looking for the movers and shakers both on the traditional side of cable as well as new digital areas such as web video and app development.
The Over-Under List is open to cable professionals age 30 and under in any aspect of the cable business including distribution, advertising, sales, marketing, PR, technology, finance, legal, HR, regulatory, production and more. Eligible companies include cable, telco and satellite distributors, cable programmers, technology vendors that sell to either distributors or programmers, and content producers and creators working in both linear TV and online media. International entries are accepted.
How to Enter
You can nominate yourself or your colleagues. Your nomination/s should be submitted by September 3 and include the following:
- The nominee’s name
- The nominee’s position (title and organization)
- The nominee’s age (including birth date if possible)
- Your professional relationship to the nominee (*you can self-nominate)
- A brief synopsis on why this young cable pro should be named to our list (1 to 2 pages)
- At least 3 concrete examples of his or her stellar achievements over the past year (specific campaigns, events, programs – proof that this person shines!)
- A sample of his or her work and/or supporting materials (media clips, press materials, campaign results and any other relevant items)
- Nominee’s contact information (full name, title, organization, email and phone)
- Your name and contact information so that we may follow up with questions during the judging process
There are no binder specifications when compiling your entry.
What to Send?
Send three (3) copies of your entry form, three (3) copies of your synopsis, three (3) set of supporting materials, and the entry fee.

Cablefax will not return any entries or supporting materials.
Entries postmarked between August 28 and September 3, 2014, please add a $150 late fee per entry. Finalists will be notified in September and honored on October 13, 2014 in Los Angeles.
The price of each primary entry is $275. Late entry surcharge of $150 per entry. Payment in full must accompany the entry. Entry fees are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Who is eligible to win an award?

Additionally, PR, marketing and publicity firms and other show partners are eligible to compete on behalf of a cable client.
Where and when will the reception be held?
The winners and honorable mentions will receive their awards during the Cable Business Boot Camp on October 13, 2014.
How do I increase my chances of winning an award?
Provide a succinct summary emphasizing your goals and achievements, testimonials and other supporting material.
When will I be notified about the status of my entry?
You will be contacted by Cablefax staff regarding the status of your entry only if you are named a finalist in the awards program. Finalists are notified 30-60 days in advance of the ceremony.
Is this awards program affiliated with any industry organizations?
The Over-Under List is an independent competition unaffiliated with any other cable organization. Your entries are held in strict confidence by the judges and Cablefax.
