Level 3 was a stock share price winner last week, according to Cablefax’s week in review of telecom and media stocks for the week of October 24-28. Reports surfaced on Friday that CenturyLink would be buying the company, which sent the stock up 14.59% for the week, closing at $54.05 a share. The stock continued to climb Monday morning when the companies confirmed the transaction, valued at $34 billion. Meanwhile on the losing side, Nielsen’s stock share price plummeted 18.27% for the week, down to $44.66 a share. The company missed quarterly earnings expectations on Tuesday, which sent the stock south. Other losers were WWE, Avid Tech and Harmonic. Full chart below.
