Villa is a highly respected engineer, becoming in 2011 one of the first four female engineers to join the EMC Distinguished Engineers program. She joined Cisco in 2015, serving as Cisco’s Jerusalem site manager and vp, security. Her new role has her trained specifically on security business, putting her expertise in cybercrime and security analytics to good use. When it comes to stress relief, Villa’s all about the mindset. “Don’t ‘waste’ your energy on things that you cannot influence or fix. If you will concentrate only on those areas in which you can influence and control, you will immediately relieve your stress,” she says.
Who is your favorite current female TV character and why?
My favorite character these days is Elisabeth Moss. In both shows, Top of Lake and The Handmaid’s Tale, she managed to show the strength of woman while not compromising with woman’s sensitivity, emotional intelligence and care for people around her.

Best advice for relieving stress?
My best advice will be to invest your efforts ONLY on things that are under your control. Don’t ‘waste’ your energy on things that you cannot influence or fix. If you will concentrate only on those areas in which you can influence and control, you will immediately relieve your stress.
