Comcast gave its door-to-door sales reps 10,000 physical books with embedded product videos inside. As the potential customer turns the pages, a new video plays to highlight another Xfinity product. It’s a way to continue the conversation after the sales rep leaves, including with other household decisionmakers. Sales reps could leave the high-quality book with prospects, and then retrieve it a few days later with another visit (and hopefully the close of a sale). Folks are always on the go and door-to-door sales has grown stale, but this leave-behind from Xfinity has changed the game by giving those that weren’t there at the time of the pitch the same experience they would receive from a sales rep.
