To promote season 2 of its fantasy drama series Magicians, SyFy Digital launched a delightful series of web-based content and games centered on exploring the show’s fantasy world Fillory. Prior to the season’s premiere was an interactive 3D map featuring 3D audio cues and animated icons that revealed teaser-y information about the upcoming season. Once the show was back on, the site revealed an episode-by-episode questing game, wherein the players could play magicians themselves and stay engaged with the show’s storyline. The experience included gesture-based spellcasting games, psychic memory games, informative videos taken on-set, and more. In all, the effort boosted visibility, earning nearly 300K page views and over 60K uniques from launch.
