“I have wanted to be a leader ever since I was a little girl. I love leadership because I enjoy helping people and organizations become better.”
What inspired you to pursue a leadership role? I have wanted to be a leader ever since I was a little girl. My parents were leaders. I love leadership because I enjoy helping people and organizations become better. Leaders bear a responsibility to those they lead to help them achieve their maximum potential. I take that responsibility seriously and have an unwavering commitment to lead by pouring my time, energy, and knowledge into their well-being.
If you took a six-month sabbatical, how would you spend it? I would explore my heritage. Specifically, I would travel to my father’s homeland (Guyana, South America) to meet extended family and get a deeper understanding of my paternal roots. I would eat the native food, explore museums and churches, learn common folklore and traditions. I would culminate my visit by producing a movie to document what I learned for future generations to have and to celebrate and honor the richness I gained learning about my people.
