Vincent Sadusky, Univision

Years in Industry: 25+

Education: BS, Accounting, Penn State; MBA, NY Institute of Tech

Sadusky has spent the last two years transforming Univision, selling off Gizmodo Media Group and going back to the basics with Spanish-language offerings. His quest to create value and reduce debt has led to the sale of a majority stake of Univision to an investment group led by former Viacom CFO Wade Davis. Davis will replace him as CEO once the deal closes, but we doubt we’ve seen the last of this savvy exec.

How has the pandemic shaped the industry’s future?
Marketers will more closely scrutinize advertising decisions and recognize Univision’s unique value proposition to reach an under penetrated, high growth community right here in the US.

The future of broadband is…
Continued growth. Advances in technology have facilitated VOD and OTT video services providing individual customized experiences. The video services being offered will outpace demand and certain players will lose billions. Broadband has created both an opportunity for scaled personalized video services as well as massive investor losses.

When restaurants open back up, my first stop will be…
I have already been to my favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant in Boca Raton, FL – Trattoria Romana. The Bolognese is a great pandemic remedy!

Last content I streamed:
I don’t stream. I watch all video content through live cable service including all the commercials, the way God intended it!

If I launched my own personal streaming service, it would be called….
Just Another Unnecessary Streaming Channel.
