Sadusky has a focused vision for Univision as a leader in producing, acquiring and distributing content to Hispanic America. The former Media General chief wasted no time implementing plans after taking the helm last June. Univision sold off assets at Gizmodo and reinvested in local content and sales, Spanish-language digital sales and business development, hiring 200 employees in the Q418. Early results are strong. Not only did Univision report prime audience growth last fall, but it’s expanded its local news offering, launched new local news apps in seven markets and bowed the first-ever Spanish-language news program available on Instagram’s IG TV: “JanoitA: PM.” Sadusky also introduced Univision’s first annual Unidos por los Nuestros day of service. And just when it looked like Univision would remain dark on DISH indefinitely, the two shook hands on a new carriage agreement.
