Here’s a way to get attention… ABC converted a high-profile Hollywood gas station into a 1960s time capsule replete with gas available for 34 cents a gallon. The venue had a “Wonder Years” vibe, complete with an upbeat 1960s music playlist pumping throughout the venue as well as photo ops and old-fashioned retro diner treats delivered by servers on roller skates. The two-day activation attracted thousands of customers as well as visits from the cast. The blast from the past garnered coverage from local stations KABC and KTLA as well as LA Weekly, “Entertainment Tonight” and Ad Age.
