The Strong Women Alliance has established itself as a committed partner in the global women’s empowerment initiative, hosting virtual events and social posts that have attracted tens of thousands of women and men. The past year has seen panels such as “Strong Women in Music” with Grammy-winning artists Lisa Loeb and Melissa Manchester and “Strong Women in Sports” featuring Olympic gold medalist Benita Fitzgerald Mosely and Paralympic skier Sandy Dukat. The year was capped off with a live event in the U.S. Capitol featuring “Diversity in the Arts” leaders that was attended by luminaries such as U.S. Sen Ed Markey (D-MA) and Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA). The budget for the events are covered by dedicated industry sponsors, including Mediacom, Comcast, Carlsen Resources, Reelz and The Cable Center, showing widespread industry and public support.
