For nearly 20 years now, the wobbling, high-pitched, endlessly energetic performance by Tom Kenny has energized Spongebob Squarepants. The childlike Spongebob hasn’t grown up very much over that time, but a whole generation HAS grown up listening to Kenny hilariously voice the unflappable sea-sponge, creating a legacy in animation and popular culture that might never be matched.
