It’s difficult to overstate the cultural relevance and satirical Nirvana that is “South Park.” Created in 1997 by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, this animated gem has spent more than two decades skewering just about everyone and everything in unexpected (and often excruciatingly brilliant) ways. Perhaps most amazing about this series is its ability to combine low-brow humor with high-brow social commentary that’s not only relevant to what has been in the news lately—but what has been in the news that week! Kudos to Comedy Central for giving Parker, Stone and their talented team of writers and animators a platform to display brilliance week after week, season after season, for such a long run. Welcome to the TV Hall of Fame. We hope this show never ends.
