Masterminding multiyear new business distribution agreements with a partners-first approach is just one way Weidner contributes to Paramount’s overall success. Another is her commitment to mentorship and training. She established the distribution department’s first entry-level rotation program to ensure a pipeline of talent well-prepared to meet the needs of the future. Always a role model, Weidner is also a Girl Scout troop leader.
“With so many balls in the air between work and family, it’s a constant shifting of priorities. Some balls are glass and will shatter if dropped; others are rubber and can bounce back. Advice on embracing change. Change is inevitable—during my 22+ years at Paramount the only constant has been change. The key is in how you embrace it. While it’s uncomfortable at times, if you can view it as an opportunity for growth you will not only survive, you will thrive. Change is part of the journey to uncovering our best selves.
