In another year of massive industry consolidation, Mediacom remained gloriously independent, to the tune of more than $4. 3 billion. Although Commisso has hinted about selling, he’s made no moves as Wall Street continues to engage in conjecture. It hasn’t been all cable business during the past year for this sports-enthusiast exec. Commisso, who also owns the NY Cosmos soccer club, was inducted into the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame in November.
