In a first for Turner Sports, opening night of the NBA season followed a unique lead-in show exclusively on YouTube. The three-hour show featured popular Turner commentators and personalities, and included segments from Turner Sports’ stable of NBA programs & talent. What broke new ground was its delivery method. Opening Night Countdown was the first-ever sports-specific live stream to live in the YouTube masthead. Branded content sponsorship even generated revenue for the show, which in addition to creating marketing buzz, generated 65 million impressions and over 7 million views of the show.
