As only the third President in Comcast’s history, Cavanagh’s job is a big one that encompasses many aspects of the company. Since last year, he’s had a much larger focus on NBCUniversal, which is why we’re putting him on the content side of our annual 100 list. Cavanagh has made his mark as NBCU’s new leader, instituting a reorg among the top executive ranks and guiding streamer Peacock to more than 30 million subscribers in 2023. The past year saw him play a role in negotiating with Disney over Comcast’s Hulu stake as well as with Hollywood’s actor and writer guilds. As if all that wasn’t enough, he works in lockstep with Comcast CEO Brian Roberts to oversee a company with 186,000 employees worldwide and $121 billion in annual revenue.
