It doesn’t take a (teen) medium to see that Cunniff is a big reason for E!’s success. She’s celebrating her one-year anniversary in her new role, where she serves as the network’s senior exec overseeing linear and cross-platform scheduling, long-term strategic planning, and program acquisitions. Under her guidance, the network has only become more popular with ongoing series such as “Botched,” “Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry,” and “WAGS,” as well as the phenomenon “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and its spin-offs. She’s seen a more diverse presence in different aspects of cable, but Cunniff feels that “minorities are underrepresented within the creative areas of the business.”
