Service Electric may be one of the oldest US cable operators, but Walter ensures that it is firmly focused on the future. Case in point, the Allentown, Penn.-based operator joined with Charter, Qualcomm and Belkin to provide financing to smart home firm Plume earlier this year. Walter also is firmly focused on providing the best broadband available, and has been looking at EPON and RFI to give Service Electric a strong technological play.
